Frequently asked questions
Is ZenQi free?
Yes. Creating an account, tracking portfolios, alerts, charts and exports are free. There is no premium tier today.
Do I need to connect my exchange or wallet?
No. ZenQi is a manual tracker: you log your buys and sells yourself. It works with every exchange and wallet, and you never hand over API keys or wallet access.
How is profit and loss calculated?
With the weighted average cost method. Each buy updates your average cost; each sell realizes the difference between the sale price and that average. Unrealized P&L is the current value of what you still hold minus its cost basis.
Where do prices come from?
Prices are refreshed every minute from DefiLlama, with CoinGecko as a fallback and for market data (rank, market cap, all-time high). Every price shows how old it is.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. ZenQi is a progressive web app: add it to your home screen on iPhone (Safari) or Android (Chrome) and it behaves like a native app, including push notifications for price alerts.
Can I switch between USD and EUR?
Yes. All data is stored in USD and converted for display with a rate refreshed every six hours.
Is ZenQi financial advice?
No. ZenQi tracks what you own and how it performs. It does not recommend buying or selling anything.
